Available all year round, our Untapped tour is the most flexible way to discover Nelson Tasman, created from the little extras guests have loved most over the years: craft beer stops, local food, scenic lookouts, beach moments, Mapua village wanders, boutique producers, and those unexpected places you might never find on your own. There are no fixed stops, structured tastings, or set agenda. CJ will be in touch before your tour to learn what your group is into, then shape the half day around your interests, the season, the weather, and what’s looking good on the day.
Any food, lunch, wine, beer, tastings, or non-alcoholic drinks can be purchased directly from the venues as you go. This keeps the tour relaxed and genuinely flexible, so you only pay for what suits your group on the day. With pickup and drop-off from your Nelson accommodation, CJ as your personal local guide, and a small-group feel throughout, Untapped is designed for people who want a personal, unhurried Nelson Tasman experience without being locked into a schedule.

After 18 years getting to know the winemakers, cellar doors, and hidden gems along this route, CJ knows where to take you, who to introduce you to, and how to shape the day so it feels personal rather than packaged. Lunch is not included, but most vineyard stops have excellent food options available to purchase on the day, and CJ will point you in the right direction. The Marlborough Tour is a full-day wine experience travelling from Nelson into New Zealand’s largest and most internationally recognised wine region. Known around the world for its exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, along with outstanding Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and aromatics, Marlborough is a destination that deserves time, space, and a full day of your attention.
The journey follows the inland route through changing valley, hill, and vineyard landscapes, with glimpses of the Marlborough Sounds as you pass through Havelock. Once in Marlborough wine country, you’ll visit four selected vineyards for included tastings, with a relaxed itinerary shaped around quality rather than rushing from stop to stop. Lunch is enjoyed at a vineyard at your own cost, and the day also includes a stop at Makana Boutique Chocolate Factory.
Along the way, CJ brings his local knowledge, easy hosting style, and personal winery connections built across years of touring both Nelson and Marlborough.
